What I learned from NaPoWriMo

I gave myself a couple days to breathe and think about what I learned while writing a poem a day:

1. Creativtiy on demand is harder than you would imagine!  It was stressful at times.  I never believed it was stressful to write. I believe differently now,

2. I  like poetry prompts to focus my writing 🙂

3. I really like haiku s, they  REALLY focus my attention to what I want EXACTLY to say, the words and the syllables,

4. I liked flexing my muscles (poetically speaking, according to NaPoWriMo.net.  Writing a poem a day WAS a challenge. I think it jumpstarted more creative juices to think about poems differently.

5. I discovered new poets including Bruce Niedt and his blog, Orangepeel and Nicole Steinberg  plus I read and heard a lot of excellent poems everywhere. I briefly got interested in collage poetry
