April is National Poetry month

I will take part in Mike Maggio’s 30 for 30 poetry celebration/contest.

I will try to write poems based on poetry prompts.

I have been SO BUSY doing  poetic things this month, I have forgotten to let you guys know what *I* am doing

1. Going to a poetry slam later this week, not sure what I will read yet. (I’ll let you know how it goes)
2. I have been posting a poetry prompt EVERY DAY over at Poetry Pasta (www.poetrypasta.wordpress.com)
3. An unexpected call from a friend and poet, Ed 🙂  Got a book of his poetry from years ago. Gave him a copy of …details…
4. Discovered a poet, Scott Thomas Outlar on Youtube 🙂
5. Participating in the 30 for 30 contest (by Mike Maggio)

National Poetry month poster

This is the first year I have not ordered a National Poetry month in time for April, so I just did.  If it’s still available, it says it will take 4-6 weeks to get here.
