AFTER National Poetry month

phew!  let’s catch our creative breath after 30 days of prompts. Maybe somebody wrote 30 or more poems, maybe someone wrote a few poems (like me), maybe someone wrote their first poem and maybe someone is not sure about writing yet. It’s all good, no worries!

We had poems in our pockets, on paper, or on phones.  For National Poetry month, I read a lot of great poems that are here on Poetry Pasta (stay tuned for MORE great poems here on Poetry Pasta).

I was really happy to meet First Inaugural poet Richard Blanco 🙂

I was also really happy to have talked with poet Erica Jong on the telephone 😀

I participated in a 30 for 30 poetry project (30 different poems for the month of April) with Mike Maggio

During National Poetry month, I sent in a few mp3s of me reading my poems to Scriggler, com for their poetry podcast, I learned about and have been following the fabulous Trish Hopkinson, who keeps us ALL (including me!) in the loop about where to submit, contests and new blogs to check out.  I called into a poetry show by the Poetry Superhighway and read a couple haikus 🙂

On Poem in Your Pocket (PIYP) day, I sent poems to people via their phones, a few people remembered PIYP day and carried poems with them on their own (one of my best friends carried a paper poem in her pocket that I had sent her last year, took a picture of it after PIYP day and sent it to me 🙂   )

Keep reading 🙂  Keep writing 🙂 Keep on keepin’ on 🙂 You’re a writer 🙂 You can do it 🙂
